Bappi Lahiri, a famous singer and composer of the entertainment world who popularized disco music in India, has passed away at the age of 69. The music world has lost a talented singer today. The real name of Bappi Lahiri is Alokesh Lahari but in the industry, he is known as Bappi Lahiri. Bappi Lahri was born into a Bengali family. His father Was Aparesh Lahari and his mother was Bansuri Lahari. Both were Bengali singers and musicians in classical music and Shyama music. They were trained by their parents.

The doctor now gave the reason for Bappi Lahiri's death, he said, "Sometime before midnight, he lost his life due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea)." Bappi Lahiri was fondly called Bappi Da. He was very popular about his songs as well as his gold. He was the disco king of the 80s and 90s. His songs from movies like Namak Halal, Disco Dancer and Dance-Dance have been very popular. He has also given hit songs in movies like Himmatwala, Sharabi, Adventure of Tarzan, Satyamev Jayate, Commando, Aaj Ke Shahenshah, Thanedar, Numberi Aadmi, Shola and Shabnam. 

Bappi's first Bollywood hit came from Aamir Khan's father Tahir Hussain's film Zakahar Hussain as a singer and composer. Bappi has also sung songs according to the new generation such as Dirty Picture's Oo La La, Film Gunday's Tune Mari Entries, Badrinath Ki Dulhania's Tamma-Tamma and Shubh Mangal Zyada Zyada Saavdhan's Hey Pyaar Kar Le. In the last year 2020, Bappi had composed the song Bhankas song from Tiger Shroff's film Baaghi 3.
