USA: Bentley, the maker of the ultra-luxurious automobile, is soon set to unveil the updated Continental GT for the international markets.

The most recent development sees test mules of the updated supercar taking a winter test drive, albeit in a camouflaged form.

The Coupe won't be completely redesigned, just gradually revamped. Here are some of the things we can expect from the fast car.

The Continental GT was introduced in 2003 as a grand tourer (GT model), and has since become an important component of Bentley's lineup.

Since its introduction, the model has produced three generations. As the supercar's competitors have started catching up, the current generation model has been in need of an update for some time now. The new version will get a mid-cycle facelift.

The exterior design of the upcoming Bentley Continental GT will be carried forward. It will feature a long, chiseled bonnet, a large chrome grille, modern, circular LED headlights with DRLs with crystalline effect, round auxiliary lights, a swooping roofline, flared wheel arches and designer alloy wheels. Quad exhaust tips, diffuser and oval-shaped LED taillamps will be added to the rear end of the coupe.

The interior of the redesigned Bentley Continental GT is a bit of a mystery. However, we expect it to feature a plush interior with a dual-tone dashboard made of soft-touch materials, a large infotainment screen, curved aluminum accents on the central console, premium leather upholstery, and multi-zone climate control. Multiple airbags and ADAS features should be used to ensure the safety of the passengers.

We predict the updated supercar will be powered by the state-of-the-art 3.0-litre, turbocharged, V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain from the Bentayga in tuned form, even though Bentley is retiring the mighty 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, W12. engine. For comparison, the hybrid engine in the SUV produces 450 hp and 700 Nm.

At its launch event, which is expected to take place in late 2023, British automotive icon Bentley is expected to reveal exclusively about the pricing and availability of the updated Continental GT.

The grand coup appears to be in the midst of a final test. In comparison to the current-gen model, which is priced between Rs. 3.29 crore and Rs. 3.91 crore (all prices, ex-showroom) in India, we expect it to get more expensive.
