Woman died as soon as she became Sarpanch, know the whole matter

Harda: The first phase of the Panchayat Elections (MP Panchyat Election 2022) in Madhya Pradesh has concluded. In these Panchayat elections held after almost seven years, people voted with enthusiasm. In the first phase, 77 per cent of voting was recorded. The results have also been declared in several districts shortly after the polling. In this three-tier panchayat election, some were happy with the victory and some were disappointed by the defeat. The celebration of the joy of victory among the candidates went on till late in the night. Meanwhile, sad news has come out from a panchayat in Harda district, where a woman died in the joy of becoming sarpanch.

In fact, this tragic incident has come to light from Pantalai, a gram panchayat under the Timarni district of Harda district. A 70-year-old woman from the village, Rukmani Bai, was the sarpanch candidate. She had won the counting of votes by around 365 votes in the counting held late on Saturday night. The lady sarpanch along with the village and family members celebrated the evening. But suddenly he died at night and now the place of happiness has been replaced by weeds.

Rajesh, the son of the deceased woman, said that the villagers had put my mother Rukmani Bai for the post of sarpanch. Everyone hoped that they would win and they won. She was very happy with this victory, there was a wave of congratulations to her till late in the night. The people of the house fell asleep at home after eating at 12 o'clock at the night. Everyone got up in the morning, but the mother was not known, when we got up and reached her, we saw that there was no movement in her, after investigation, it was found that she had died.
