Gorakhpur: A woman went to the police station to file a complaint. It is alleged that the police did not listen to the woman's plea and the woman ate the poisonous substance. The police rushed the woman to a medical college, where her condition remains critical.

Police said the woman consumed poisoned. According to the information, a woman from a village in Ppganj area was married about seven years ago at Gonha in The Panera police station area of Mehrajganj. The husband died three years ago. Thereafter, she took two young children and went to Pehar, and she had a relationship with a boy. Family and relatives are not ready for their marriage.

The woman alleges that the boy also had a physical relationship on pretext of marriage, and is now refusing to marry her. When the family did not support her, she reached the police station on Friday. According to eyewitnesses, she told the police the whole thing. The police did not pay much attention, so the woman swallowed the poisonous substance, which worsened her condition. As health deteriorated, the police shifted to the health centre. The entire case is also being investigated by the police.
