Telangana : Ganeshpalli, a 20-year-old woman from the market zone of Siddipet district, has set a record as the first woman and line woman in Telangana.

TSSPDCL has issued notification for line major jobs. Baburi Sirisha from Gazebel constituency and V. Bharti from Mahabubabad district have applied for this. But their application was rejected. The two then approached the High Court in 2019. TSSPDCL believes it is difficult for women to climb an 18-foot-high current pole and act like line women.

Sirisha and Bharathi have once again approached the court for not announcing the results of the TSSPDCL women's written test. The High Court ordered that they be subjected to a voting test. Within a minute, Bharathi, along with the head of the poll board, also passed the poll. The High Court directed TSSPDCL to issue an appointment letter within a month of passing the voting test. It made history as the first female line woman in the state.
