In Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district, the case of a midnight meeting of a lover couple got badly complicated. The incident took place in a village of Tarkulwa police station area, where a girl had called her lover to meet her in the garden at midnight. But some youths of the village had already got wind of this, and they caught the girl and her lover red handed.
The villagers beat both of them and beat the young man with sticks. The girl was also not spared and was beaten up. After this, the villagers informed the families of both of them about this incident. The girl's family insisted on getting their daughter married to the young man. But the young man's family refused to accept this relationship, which led to a huge uproar between the two families.
The girl's family said that they would not release the young man until he married their daughter. After this, the young man was kept hostage till the next morning. Eventually, both the parties reached a compromise and resolved the matter. However, regarding this entire incident, police station in-charge Mrityunjay Rai said that he has not received any information about such a case.
