Kanpur : The body of a young man who came out for a walk from home was found hanging from a neem tree outside the village. Passing villagers, seeing the dead body hanging, informed the relatives and the police about this. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
Sanjay Singh alias Neeraj (36) son of Kulharua resident of the area, Bhajan Singh had gone for a walk from home at 5 am on Sunday. Around 7 am, the villagers going to the farm and Ajitmal found him hanging on a neem tree planted on the roadside on Babarpur-Phaphund road, about half a kilometer away from the village. The villagers informed about this to the family members of Sanjay Singh and the police. Within no time a crowd of villagers started gathering at the spot. The police, who reached the spot, sent the body for post-mortem at the behest of the relatives.
Villagers have told the police that Sanjay Singh used to earn his living by doing farming. He is survived by wife Umakanti and 4-year-old son Prince. CO Ajitmal Pradeep Kumar has said about this that the police reached the spot on the information of the father of the deceased. Further investigation is going to be done on the basis of the post-mortem report.
