Lucknow: A youth living in a live-in relationship in Lucknow, the capital of UP, has been detained by the police on charges of rape. Police say that the criminal kept having physical relations with his female friend on the pretext of marriage. In the meantime, the woman became pregnant and threatened her and took her to get an abortion.

The victim filed a case in the police station. After investigation, the police have taken the accused into custody. The victim has told the police in her complaint that her friend kept raping her for two years on the pretext of marriage. When he pressured her to marry, he threatened her and drove her out of the house and started beating her several times.

On this case, DSP North Zone Dr S Chinappa has said that the woman had also filed a case of rape against her friend. After the investigation of the case, the accused youth has been taken into custody. During interrogation, he has confessed his crime. Now he has been sent to jail. The victim says that when she used to talk to her partner for marriage, he used to make excuses and avoid the matter. A dispute starts between the two regarding this matter.
