The first phase of Manipur assembly elections have been held and now preparations have started for the second phase on March 5. Amidst all this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Manipur through video conferencing. Simultaneously, referring to the plans of the party, targeted the Congress party. During this, he said, the Congress party has been focused only on looting the state. With this, PM Modi said, 'Congress was so involved in looting the state that they did not have time to work for the people. BJP leaders believe in doing development work by living among Manipuri people.

He further said that, 'The Congress party has not worked for the development of Manipur and has encouraged separatism. The people of Manipur have to be aware of this. BJP works for the development of Northeast especially Manipur. It is destroying their divide and rule plans. With this, PM Modi further said, 'We are planning to build AIIMS in Manipur, this is the time of self-reliant India. This decade is the decade of development and progress and Manipur is moving fast in this direction today. For the development of sports in Manipur, we are also going to build a sports university in the state. Manipur is now being identified with skill, startup and sports.

Start-up Manipur is showing good results. In future, our government is also ready to create a start-up fund of Rs 100 crore. At the same time, PM Modi said that, 'Manipur was waiting for its first train since independence. BJP worked to start train service in the state and connected Manipur with India's railway network. New railway lines are also being built, taking forward the layout and connectivity.
