Raigad: There was a stir due to the discovery of a suspicious boat in the sea on the Harihareshwar coast (Raigad district) of Maharashtra. AK 47, rifles and some cartridges were found on the boat. Apart from this, there was also an explosive in the boat. Thereafter, an alert has been issued in the entire Raigad district. The police team reached the spot and started an investigation after recovering the weapons.
The same police have taken the boat in their possession. This boat has been found on the shore of the sea. Police are also questioning local people. The place where this boat has been found is 200 km from Mumbai and 170 km from Pune. Raigad SP Ashok Dhudhe has confirmed the receipt of AK 47 in the boat on the Harihareshwar coast. However, he did not give any further news yet. He said that the investigation is still on. However, sources have told that the boat is Australian. Some people were on it. However, these persons did not even inform the Coast Guard about their arrival at Harihareshwar coast.
There is always the possibility of terrorists coming into the same sea area. Earlier on 26 November 2008, there was a terrorist attack in Mumbai. At that time 10 terrorists of Lashkar had come to India from Pakistan by sea. After leaving the boat on the beach, the terrorists started firing at different places. Terrorists had targeted two hotels, a hospital and railway stations. 160 people died in that attack.
