Agra: Snakes were rescued from 5 different places in Agra, UP and released into the forest. In the first case, a 5-foot-long rat snake in the engine of a two-wheeler in Shastripuram was rescued by the Wildlife SOS Rapid Response Unit. In the second incident, a 5-foot-long cobra trapped in a fishing net near Fatehpur Sikri was rescued. In the third incident, two snakes were rescued from Sakatpur in Achhnera. Similarly, dangerous snakes were also rescued from the Kirawali area and Kuberpur.

According to the news received, Pushpendra Kashyap was leaving for somewhere on Monday. As soon as he sat on the scooter, he realized as if something was moving in his scooter. He checked the scooter well and saw that the snake was sitting inside the seat. He immediately reported to wildlife SOS seeking help. On receiving the news, the SOS team reached the spot and as soon as the rescue team lifted the seat and pulled out the 5-foot-long rat snake safely from dickey. He was later taken to the forest and released.

At the same time, the Rapid Response Unit also rescued a 5-foot-long cobra trapped in a fishing net near Fatehpur Sikri. After carefully removing the snake from the net, it was brought to the transit facility for treatment. The team also rescued an 8-foot-long cobra from Mahuar village in Agra's Kirawali area. The snake had come near the railway track and was rescued safely in time. Apart from this, a cobra was also rescued behind the TV set kept in the bedroom of the house at Sakatpur in Achhnera and a rat snake from the store room of Ashok Motors, a Tata Motors showroom in Kuberpur, Agra. After all the snakes were declared fit, they were released into their natural habitat.
