Heavy rain to lashed these states including Delhi-Rajasthan! IMD issues alert

New Delhi: Cold wave continues to wreak havoc in many parts of India. Meanwhile, the possibility of rain has indicated an increase in the cold. According to IMD, Delhi will be cloudy today. Light rain has also been predicted in the evening. Meanwhile, IMD has issued a warning of a new western disturbance. This disturbance will affect entire North India. This is why Delhi may receive heavy rainfall for the next two days.

On the other hand, IMD has predicted rainfall in some parts of Rajasthan for the next two days due to the impact of a new western disturbance. Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota and Bharatpur may receive light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers from tonight. With this, scattered rain or snowfall is expected in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next 2 days. Thereafter, there is a wide estimate of rainfall and snowfall on Saturday and Sunday. According to IMD, the highest impact of rainfall will be on January 22, which may lead to light to moderate rainfall at isolated places in all seven divisions.

IMD has predicted scattered rainfall in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan on January 20-21. Subsequently, rainfall is also predicted on 22nd and 23rd January. Punjab is expected to receive different heavy rains. Assam and Meghalaya are also predicted to receive the highest rainfall on January 22 and January 24. According to an IMD report, 'light rainfall may occur at different places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe due to the impact of a cyclonic circulation over the South-West Bay of Bengal and the next 4-5 days in lower troposphere levels over south Tamil Nadu.'
