New Delhi: Diwali is the main festival of Hinduism. This festival is celebrated on the new moon day of Kartik month. This year, this festival will be celebrated on 14 November. Preparations for Diwali begin several days before the festival. People used to clean and pain their house and decorate it with colourful lights. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi comes home in Diwali. Some tasks are necessary to welcome them. These tasks are as follows: -

Stop Watch
According to Vastu, the clock represents your progress. A stopwatch is definitely a hindrance in your progress. So if there is a bad clock in the house, then it must be taken out of the house before Diwali.

Keep the roof clean
Before this Diwali, clean the roof of the house and remove any previously discarded garbage or unused items from the house.

Damaged pictures
If there is a damaged picture in the house, then remove it from the house. According to Vastu, the atmosphere of the house is affected by photographs.

Bad electric bumps
If there are any similar electrical defects in your house, do not use it again or to get it out of the house before Diwali. They prove inauspicious for both your health and good luck, just like electricity.
