As soon as Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar turns 49, there has been a flood of people congratulating him on social media. Athletes, including current and former cricketers, have been seen wishing the living legend of cricket and the best batsman of the game. Former Indian cricketer and middle-order batsman S Badrinath shared a heartwarming message in Tamil from Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. At the same ground, India defeated Sri Lanka to win the Cricket World Cup in 2011.
S Badrinath shared the post and wrote- "For an icon who has inspired a generation to adopt this game Happy Birthday #SachinTendulkar Paaji. ️ Best wishes to you from Mumbai, from where it all started for you. May this year be special to you.
Gaurav Kalra congratulated Sachin Tendulkar in his post and wrote - On Sachin Tendulkar's 49th birthday, this picture of him by Atul Kamble to bat in his last Test innings is a perfect reminder of his importance in our lives. A symbol of reverence, awe and adoration, Tendulkar was the heartbeat of the nation quite simply. Happy birthday, legend!

Not only that, Sardindoo congratulated Sachin while sharing the post, and wrote- East vs West Duleep Trophy match, we were knocking after the warm-up. Sachin was knocking next to me but after a while, he stopped and watched me hit the ball. Then he came up to me and said 'Dada I brought your bat'. The extra bats gladly gave him. Then on TV, I saw him score a brilliant 157 against the mighty West Indies. I can't forget the 'power' sticker on my bat. I was excited. The next time I met him in Mumbai he gave me 4 bats! Happy birthday, my friend.
