As soon as Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar turns 49, there has been a flood of people congratulating him on social media. Athletes, including current and former cricketers, have been seen wishing the living legend of cricket and the best batsman of the game. Former Indian cricketer and middle-order batsman S Badrinath shared a heartwarming message in Tamil from Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On the same ground, India defeated Sri Lanka to win the Cricket World Cup in 2011.

Spinner Pragyan Ojha has shared a photo of himself with the 'God' of cricket Sachin Tendulkar on the social media platform. Welcoming Sachin to the club of 50s, former cricketer, actor and Mumbai Cricket Association chief selector Salil Ankola shared a sepia-toned picture with Sachin and wished him a happy birthday.

 

At the same time, cricketer Arvind Yadav wrote in his post on the social media platform Koo App, "The pride of the country and the feeling of realizing the dreams of crores of people!! Born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai, Sachin made his international debut against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of 16. He retired from all formats of the game in November 2013 and has become the highest run-scorer in international cricket.''
