New Delhi: On the occasion of the Republic Day program in the national capital Delhi, many roads are closed or routes are diverted for some time. Apart from this, special arrangements are also made by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This time, in addition to the parade on Republic Day, Bharat Parv is also going to be organized at the Red Fort. This festival will run from January 26 to 31. Due to this, some routes have also been changed. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for January 26.

These routes will be closed from today:

According to the advisory, the Republic Day parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and proceed toward the Red Fort. The parade will pass through Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Subhash Chandra Bose Roundabout, Tilak Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, and Red Fort. Due to this, it was said in the advisory that no traffic will be allowed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on the right of way from 6 pm on Wednesday, January 25 till the parade is over on January 26. There will be no cross-traffic on Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road, and Dutsepath from 10 pm on Wednesday till the parade ends on January 26.

These routes will be closed on January 26:

On Thursday, the "C"-Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed for traffic from 9.15 am till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. Traffic will not be allowed from tilak marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, and Subhash Marg from 10.30 am on Thursday. Cross-traffic will be allowed only on the basis of the movement of the parade, the advisory said.

Alternate route:-

- The advisory states that to go towards Mandir Marg, passengers can take Madrasa, Lodhi Road T-Point to Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road-Dhaula Kuan Vande Mataram Marg, and Shankar Road.
- Passengers going from South Delhi to New Delhi Railway Station can take Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place Outer Circle, Chelmsford Road towards Paharganj or Minto Road towards Ajmeri Gate, and Bhavabhuti Marg. 
- From East Delhi, take Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Jhandewalan Roundabout, DB Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road, Paharganj Bridge and reach New Delhi Railway Station.
- People can take Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Raj Ghat, Chowk Yamuna Bazar, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chatta Rail, and Kauria Bridge to reach Old Delhi Railway Station from South Delhi.

These routes are diverted:-

The Ministry of Tourism is organizing 'Bharat Parv' on the occasion of India's Republic Day. According to the traffic advisory, traffic will be diverted from Delhi Gate, Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Chhatta Rail Chowk, Shanti One, T-Point Subhash Marg and GPO (Kashmere Gate). At the same time, traffic restrictions/ regulation / diversion can be imposed on Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, Lothian Road (from GPO to Chatta Rail Chowk), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg (from Hanuman Mandir to Chatta Rail Chowk). Food courts and handicraft stalls will also be set up at August 15 Park and Madhav Das Park. Tableaux will also be placed at August 15 Park and Red Fort for the general public and VIPs are also going to come here. Apart from this, special arrangements are also being made by DMRC.
