New Delhi: Corona vaccination has started in India from today. Dr Reddy Laboratories, another company that is making corona vaccine, has been allowed to do the trial of the third phase of Sputnik V. Sputnik V is a corona vaccine made by a Russian company. The vaccine is currently in an experimental condition.

DCGI has allowed Dr Reddy Laboratories to conduct a trial for the third phase of corona vaccine. Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy's said that the vaccine will be tested first on 1500 people in the third phase. According to information provided by the Union Health Ministry, more than 200 companies in the world are preparing corona vaccine, out of which 30 are from India. Covaxin of Bharat Biotech and Covishield of The Serum Institute of India (SII), has been allowed for emergency use in India. On Saturday, both the vaccine is being used for first stage vaccination.

Gujarat's covid vaccine is also in the trial stage. Dr Reddy's Laboratories has also joined the series. Before allowing Dr Reddy's Laboratories to conduct the third phase of the trial, the Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) studied the data related to its second phase of testing and recommended the recruitment of volunteers for the third phase only after being satisfied.
