According to a report received, rocket maker Blue Origin has informed that auction slated for a seat for the first flight of the New Shepard Rocket. The proceeds from the auction will go to the Foundation of Blue Origin which will promote mathematics and science education. The company has fixed July 20 as the date for the first flight, which will mark the 52nd anniversary of a person's first move on the moon. Neil Armstrong made his first move to the moon on July 20, 1969. However, the company did not mention this while reporting about the first flight.
At present, the amount received from the online auction will be given to the foundation of the company under which mathematics and science education will be encouraged. Under the first flight, the passenger will get a seat for an 11-minute journey and will have the opportunity to go into space 100 km above the earth. According to the report, customers will get four days of experience, three of which will be the first training from a flight which will be delivered at the company's launch site in Texas.
