Ayodhya: The city of Lord Shri Ram, 'Ayodhya' is once again all set for Deepawali and grand Deepotsav. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is busy with special preparations for Diwali. On Wednesday, CM Yogi Adityanath himself visited Ayodhya and took stock of the preparations for the Diwali festival to be held on 23 October on the eve of Diwali.

CM Yogi Adityanath spent three hours here. He bowed his head at the Ram temple and gave necessary instructions to the engineers. Along with this, took stock of the progress of temple construction. According to the information, this time in the grand and divine Deepotsav celebrations, more than 1.25 lakh lamps made from cow dung will be illuminated. Around 17 lakh 'diyas' (earthen lamps) will illuminate Ayodhya. This is going to be a new world record. 

Let us tell you that last year 12 lakh lamps were lit in Ayodhya. At that time 9 lakh lamps were lit on Ram's foot and 3 lakh lamps were lit in other parts of Ayodhya. 51 thousand lamps were lit in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex. The Guinness Book of World Records team had also reached to count the lamps. 32 teams together lit 12 lakh lamps. In this, 36 thousand liters of mustard oil was used.
