South superstar Nagarjuna is celebrating his birthday today. Nagarjuna was born to Telugu cinema actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurna Akkineni. Nagarjuna did his schooling from Hyderabad Public School and later did intermediate from Ratna Junior College. After that, he did mechanical engineering at the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai.

After which, Nagarjuna took admission at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. Where he earned a master's degree in automobile engineering. Nagarjuna has married twice. He married Amala, who is a well-known actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. With whom he has two sons. Nagarjuna's First wife is named Laxmi Daggubati.

Nagarjuna started his acting career as a child artist. Nagarjuna's debut movie 'Vikram' was released on 24 May 1986, and was a remake of the Hindi movie Hero starring Jackie Shroff. After acting in four movies, he acted as a hero in Majnu. He played the role of his father in the movie Kalegori Abbai. His first big hit was Aakhari Poratam, which ran for 100 days in 12 theatres. Nagarjuna has many records in his name during his career.
