Sunil Lahiri is telling many stories related to this serial which are strengthening people's association with Ramayana. He is telling some interesting anecdote related to each episode. Apart from this, Sunil Lahiri has talked about the Vanar Sena of Ramayana. The Vanar Sena had an important role in Ramayana. This Vanar Sena had beaten the powerful army of Ravana.
Ramanand Sagar took care of many things while preparing the Vanar Sena. Sunil Lahiri says that the makeup of Vanara Sena was a big challenge in itself. Sunil says "Vanar Sena was very big, it was very difficult to prepare all of them. Lips were made. Balls were used to give a monkey form to the artists. The ball was pasted into the face of the cast members in two pieces."
This artist looked like a monkey, while Sunil also laughs that all these monkeys were quite fit in real life and used to exercise. Sunil says that all of them were fed juice and soup continuously through the straw. All artists were appealed not to remove makeup.
