In the ongoing three-match Test series between India and SA, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah made an impression in the last Test match of the series in Cape Town. In the first inning, he was the one who sent five South African batters to the pavilion. Bumrah's performance on this ground is particularly noteworthy given he made his Test debut here four years ago. This is where Bumrah began his Test career. In Cape Town, he played his first Test against South Africa which took place on January 5, 2018. Bumrah took 4 (1 and 3) wickets in his first test.

After a four-year gap, Bumrah returned to the same stadium for the second Test and made a huge impression. In the first innings, he seized 5 wickets for 42 runs against South Africa. For the first time in his career, Bumrah has taken five wickets in the last ten innings of a Test match. He had previously taken 5 wickets in the second innings of the Nottingham Test, which began on August 4, 2021. Bumrah has taken five wickets in an innings for the seventh time in his Test career.
The Cape Town Test between India and South Africa begins on January 11. After arriving in Cape Town for the match, Bumrah sent an emotional message on Instagram.
