Mumbai: Tuesday was the 9th day of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan. This yatra is continuously making headlines in Rajasthan. Congress MLA Madan Prajapat is walking barefoot with Rahul Gandhi. Madan is an MLA from the Pachpadra constituency in the Barmer district. MLA Madan Prajapat has got blisters on his feet after walking barefoot continuously for 8 days. Even after that, he is moving ahead with bandages on his feet.
Madan Prajapat told that neither he can give up this journey nor his vow, so he will walk about 500 kilometers barefoot for 18 days of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan. When Rahul Gandhi asked Madan Prajapat the reason for walking barefoot, he said that he has taken a vow to make Balotra a district.
In such a situation, Madan Prajapat is hopeful that after his demand reaches Rahul Gandhi, the demand for making the Balotra district can go ahead in the last budget announcement of the government. In fact, Madan Prajapat gave hope of Balotra becoming a district during the last budget of the government, but when no such announcement was made, he gave up his shoes as soon as he came out of the assembly about 10 months ago. Since then, MLA Prajapat has been reaching everywhere barefoot. Madan Prajapat had promised the general public of Balotra to make it a district during the campaign of assembly elections 2018. This promise has not been fulfilled in the last 4 years.
