Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah has given a big statement regarding the Tawang clash between the Indian and Chinese armies. Abdullah said that it is unfortunate that we are not able to maintain good relations with our neighbors. Everyone knows about our relations with Pakistan, but even with China, we are not able to establish good relations. During this, Omar Abdullah recalled the statement of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Omar Abdullah said that former PM late Atal Bihari Vajpayee had said that friends can be changed, but neighbors cannot be changed. We cannot change our neighbors, but we can build better relations with them. It is also the responsibility of China to build good relations with us and stop this deadlock on the borders.

At the same time, on the Tawang issue, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament that the Chinese Army tried to change the status quo by encroaching on the LAC in the Yangtse in the Tawang sector. Our soldiers faced them with determination. Our brave soldiers prevented the encroachment of the Chinese army and forced them to return to their post.
