The case of killing a pregnant female elephant in Kerala is criticized everwhere. Orders have been issued to investigate the matter. On the other hand, Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has said on Thursday that he is very sad to hear about the death of a pregnant elephant in Kerala. He also said that no animal should be treated like this.

Rohit wrote on his official Twitter handle, "We are wild, are we not learning? What happened to that elephant in Kerala is heartbreaking. This should not be done with any animal."

On May 27, 15-year-old female elephant fell victim to a very inhuman incident in Mallapuram, Kerala. A person gave a pineapple full of firecrackers to her which burst in her mouth. This caused severe injuries to her mouth and tongue. Later, she died standing in the river for three days. After this incident, Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal, Sunil Chhetri had expressed their anger.
