Arvind Swami, a South superstar who speaks less and appears less but captivates everyone when he comes on screen, gained popularity through the film "Roja." Born on June 18, 1970, in Madras (now Chennai), Arvind Swami has delivered several hit films. He is usually seen away from controversies and limelight, but his acting in films is remarkable.

Arvind's father, V.D. Swami, is a businessman, and his mother, Vasantha, is a Bharatanatyam dancer. He did his initial schooling at Sishya School and later graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Loyola College. Arvind further pursued an MBA from the US.

In an interview, Arvind Swami revealed that he dreamt of becoming a doctor when he was in the 10th grade and studied accordingly, but due to certain reasons, it didn't happen. During his college days, he started modeling.

Mani Ratnam first saw Arvind at an event. He approached Arvind for his film "Roja," which turned out to be a superhit. This film was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and its songs are still loved by people today.

However, when he thought of making a comeback in films after a few years, he met with an accident.

According to media reports, when Arvind Swami decided to return to films, he had an accident and suffered a spine injury. His leg became paralyzed, and it took him a long time to recover from it.

After making a comeback, Arvind Swami delivered several successful films in South cinema. He is still active in films but prefers to stay away from limelight and social media.

Arvind Swami married Gayatri Ramamurthy in 1994, but they divorced in 2010. In 2012, he married Aparna Mukherjee, with whom he is currently living. Arvind Swami has two children, Adhira and Rudra Swami.
