Dewas: The Malwa-Nimad zone witnessed intermittent rain at several places on Tuesday. The Deepgaon-Harangaon road was completely closed for about five hours from 6 am to 11 pm on Tuesday after the river drains were flooded due to rain in the Harangaon area of Dewas district on Monday night. Due to this, about 25 villages from Harangaon could not be contacted. Due to the closure of traffic, everyday items like milk, vegetables and newspapers have not been reached so far. Passengers get upset due to the non-operation of buses.

Flood water has also entered the newly constructed building at Police Station Harangaon. The thana looks like an island. As the river of Jiagaon is in spate, water is seen flowing over the small culverts. Rivers and rivulets are in spate at Khatagaon, Kannoud, and Nemawar. In Nemawar, bathing at ghats was also banned as the water level in Narmada rose.

Mandsaur also recorded about 20 mm of rain in about half an hour on Tuesday. There has been a situation of waterlogging on the routes. The Mid India underbridge has also been flooded. Because of this, the residents were disturbed. Garlic in the agricultural produce market is drenched in rain. The farmers were upset to save the produce from getting wet. Four motors were also being driven at the pump house in Dhanmandi Lakkarpeetha to drain out the water.
