Patna: The job of bank workers is to protect people from any kind of fraud, but what happens when the person sitting on the post like bank manager starts cheating you in the name of loan. Something similar has happened in Mokama, Bihar, where the assistant manager of a private bank turned out to be the mastermind of the fraud. Mohammad Hasnain, an assistant manager working in the Axis Bank branch of Mokama, has been arrested by the police on charges of misappropriating Rs 5 lakh by tampering with the customer's account. According to the news, Ram Pravesh Kumar, an account holder living in Mokama, had filed a case against the criminal in the police station.
The same Ram Pravesh Kumar had alleged that someone fraudulently took out a loan of Rs 5 lakh from him in the branch of Axis Bank (Mokama) in his name. Due to the investigation, the police found that in this fraud, the current assistant manager working in Axis Bank Mokama, Mohammad Hasnain, was the first to deposit CRF in the savings account of the victim customer Rampravesh Kumar. After filling (customer request form) the registered mobile number of the account holder was changed to the mobile number of his wife and money was withdrawn through debit card through fraudulent means.
Not only this, but later without giving any information to the account holder, a loan of 5 lakh was also issued on his account. After the loan issuance, illegal withdrawal of about Rs 04 lakh 48 thousand was done through debit card in Barh, Lakhisarai and other places. During interrogation, the assistant manager accepted all the allegations, after which the police arrested him.
