The anticipatory bail plea of actress Munmun Dutta alias Babita ji, who became famous with the country's famous comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been rejected by Judge Ajay Tewatia of the Special Court set up under the SC-ST Act in Hisar. As a result, Babitaji's problem has increased and the crisis of arrest has started looming over her.

In fact, Munmun Dutta alias Babita ji had shared a video on her YouTube channel on May 9 last year and made a controversial comment about the Scheduled Caste community, in which Dalit rights activist and advocate Rajat Kalsan had lodged a case under sections of the SC-ST Act on May 13 at Thana Shahar Hansi. Apart from Hansi in Haryana, complaints were also lodged against Munmun Dutta in UP, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan and MP. Munmun Dutta had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking an inquiry into all the cases at Hansi in Haryana. Besides, Munmun Dutta, in a petition filed in the Supreme Court, had sought that all the cases registered against her be dismissed, which was turned down by the Apex Court.

Thereafter, Munmun Dutta had again moved the High Court seeking a stay on the arrest, but later her advocate withdrew the petition from the High Court. He had now filed a petition in the court set up under the SC-ST Act in Hisar, which was argued by both sides on January 25. On Friday, the court dismissed the plea of Munmun Dutta.
