New Delhi: In the midst of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the exercise of returning the Indians trapped there is also going on. Therefore, under Operation Ganga, three C-17 Globemaster aircraft of the Indian Air Force landed at Hindon Airport on Saturday. 629 Indians have been brought home through these planes. Let us inform that under Operation Ganga, the Government of India has sent 4 Union Ministers to rescue Indians in the countries bordering Ukraine.

Let us inform that three C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force had reached Romania, Slovakia and Poland for rescue on the previous day i.e. on Friday. There, 629 Indians have been brought safely through these planes. These planes reached India early today. Let us inform that 16.5 tonnes of relief material was also transported from India through these planes. It is noteworthy that so far 2056 passengers have been brought back to the homeland of Indians trapped in the war through Indian Air Force planes. For this, 10 aircraft of the Indian Air Force have flown. While 26 tonnes of relief material has been sent to Ukraine under Operation Ganga so far.

Earlier on Saturday, Minister of State for External Affairs Muraleedharan had tweeted that 11 thousand Indians have been evacuated from Ukraine so far. According to the agency, he further said in the tweet that 170 Indians returned safely to New Delhi by Air Asia plane.
