Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over a high-level meeting with top ministers and senior officials at his residence to discuss various programmes.

The meeting took place on Tuesday, March 21, evening and ended at midnight. The Kamal Nath-led Congress administration was overthrown in March 2020 as a result of a significant political crisis within the grand old party. The BJP government will complete its three years in office on March 23.

On March 23, the BJP government would have successfully completed its three-year term. The Shivraj Singh Chouhan administration's spokesperson and state home minister Narottam Mishra announced to the media following the meeting that various programmes on the theme of teen "sal-bemisal" will be held from March 23 to April 10.

On March 23, a large-scale event called "Youth Panchayat" will be held at Bhopal's Motilal Nehru Stadium. The ceremony will be attended by all BJP MPs and MLAs as well as party members.

Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 Congress legislators were transferred to the BJP, and on March 23, 2020, Shivraj Singh Chouhan took his fourth oath as chief minister.

Plans to emphasise the development work carried out by the BJP government over the previous three years were discussed during the late-night gathering. The ruling party will make an effort to convey to the people of Madhya Pradesh through various programmes that the decision to remove the Congress from office was made in their best interests.

On March 25, Union Home Minister Amit Shah would reach Bhopal. At Chhindwara, the political stronghold of Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath, he will take part in a roadshow. Along with speaking at the Chhindwara rally, Shah will interact with the local BJP members.

J.P. Nadda, the national president of the BJP, is expected to visit here on March 27. According to information obtained during the tour, Nadda would officially lay the foundation stone for a new BJP state headquarters building in Bhopal.  Nadda would also discuss the election preparations with the state working committee of the party in a closed-door meeting.
