According to information, the tiger has been spotted in such a height in the north-eastern state of Sikkim so far. Now, after Sikkim, Uttarakhand has achieved this feat. Kedarnath Divisional Forest Division Officer Amit Kanwar said that the tiger has been captured on camera at the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, where only leopards and snow leopards have been spotted so far. He said the tiger's founding at an altitude of 11,154 feet is shocking as it is found in the forests of the plains and plateau areas. The tiger's appearance at such a high altitude also makes it appear that they are changing their stay.

Experts say that it is not normal to see a tiger at such a high altitude in Kedarnath. They believe that the lifestyle of tigers is changing because they usually prefer to live in low altitude areas. The Kedarnath Wildlife Century in Uttarakhand has spread over one lakh sq km. It is part of Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts. Guldars, musk deer and Himalayan bears are found in large numbers.
