New Delhi:- Titanic II is a passenger ship planned as a modern Olympic-class replica of the RMS Titanic. The new ship is said to have a Gross Tonnage (GT) of 56,000, while the original ship had a Gross Tonnage (GRT) of around 46,000. The project was launched in April 2012 by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer as the flagship of the proposed cruise company Blue Star Line. Born in Brisbane, Australia.

The planned launch date was originally set for 2016, then pushed back to 2018, and then pushed back to 2022. Development of the project resumed in November 2018 after he was suspended in 2015 due to financial disputes that affected the $500 million project.

Mark Wilkinson, from Birmingham in central England, recently bought a ship called Titanic 2. The ship, despite its ill-fated name, was a 16-foot cabin cruiser that he had taken with him on his first outing at sea, a fishing trip off Dorset in the south of the country. 

Upon returning to West Bay Harbor, his boat soon flooded, and Mr. Wilkinson was forced to abandon it as it sank. The incident was caught on camera by a local woman, and the photo showed the man clinging to the rails of the boat before being rescued.

Wilkinson, who was unharmed, later told local media that without the harbor master, he would have sunk with the Titanic. The ship called Titanic 2 lived up to its name by sinking in a British harbor without an iceberg in sight during its maiden voyage.

The Coast Guard helped Wilkinson hoist the boat and load it onto a trailer for repairs. The Titanic 2 is believed to have sunk after old repair work failed and the boat flooded, the Dorset Echo reported. Port administrator James Radcliffe said there was a six-inch hole in the boat's fiberglass hull. 

The Titanic is said to be kept still somewhere that is yet to be explored but is said to be kept in China or somewhere on the beach. The Titanic II was made after 99 years and also had to undergo the same history.
