New Delhi: The monsoon session of Parliament continues to create ruckus over the Pegasus espionage case and farmers' agitation. Amidst the uproar, the Central Government has passed several bills in Parliament. Now, the Opposition is cornering the Government. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Derek O'Brien has reacted sharply, accusing them of the hasty passage of the bills in the Parliament session. Derek O'Brien said the government is passing the bill in parliament in a hurry. On average, one Bill has been passed by Parliament every 7 minutes. Taking a dig at the haste, Derek O'Brien said that these bills are being passed or are being licked.

Derek O'Brien tweeted, "In the first 10 days, Modi-Shah passed 12 bills in an average time of fewer than seven minutes." Following Derek's tweet, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said after the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting that a tweet was tweeted by TMC MP Derek O'Brien yesterday on the Bill. On this, PM Modi said it is an insult to those who have elected MPs. PM Modi has expressed grief, ''Making scab licking' was a derogatory remark. Tearing, throwing, and not apologizing is ego.''
This is the second time in a week that PM Modi has attacked the opposition over the Pegasus phone-hacking controversy, the government's handling of the epidemic, and fierce protests in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on a number of issues.
