Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day tour of West Bengal these days. This tour is considered to be very important in view of the next year's assembly elections and the direct target of Amit Shah is Mamata Banerjee. Now Shah has also been attacked by the Trinamool Congress (TMC). TMC MP and actress Nusrat Jahan fiercely targeted the Union Home Minister.
Nusrat said that the great men of West Bengal are constantly being despised by the Bharatiya Janata Party. She tweeted from her official Twitter handle, writing that from 'From Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar to Birsa Munda, what is this blatant disrespect towards Bengal's legendary icons, @AmitShah ji? How many more times will you misuse Bengal's culture & heritage for your political propaganda?'

The Home Minister visited Bankura in West Bengal on Thursday, where he garlanded the statue of Birsa Munda. There are many types of allegations. TMC alleges that the statue on which Amit Shah garlanded was not that of Birsa Munda, so a photo of Birsa Munda was placed under the statue. The same has been attacked by the Trinamool Congress on Amit Shah.
