To everyone's surprise, Poland's Yan Duda wins Oslo E-Sports Cup

The last round of the first chess e-sports tournament, the Oslo Sports Cup, was full of reversals and thrills when all eyes were on world champion Magnus Carlsen of Norway and Praggandha of India. Carlsen and Praggnandha, both the leading players in the final round, lost their respective matches.

Carlsen was defeated 2.5-0.5 by Azerbaijan's Shakariar Mamedyarov in 2 consecutive rapid matches after playing out the first match after playing the draw in the first match, while Pragganndha was defeated by Anish Giri of the Netherlands in the first and third rapids by the same margin and thus both of them stopped at 12 points. At the same time, Duda, who defeated Praggandha in the previous match, defeated Canada's Eric Hensen 2.5-0.5 to score a total of 14 points and he managed to win the competition, while van Forrest of the Netherlands was defeated by  Vietnam's Le Kuyang Lim 3.5-2.5 in the tiebreak and came in second place with a total of 13 points.

On the basis of the tiebreak, Carlsen has to settle for the third spot while Pragganndha has to settle for the fourth position.   Mamedyarov has come to 5th position with 11 points, Jordan 10 points to 6th, Anish Giri to 7th with 9 points and Eric has come last with 3 points.
