Jammu: When Jammu and Kashmir was not a Union Territory country, no Constitution Day of any kind was celebrated here. Today, Constitution Day is being celebrated for the first time on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir after becoming a Union Territory. Today is the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir came to an end with the removal of Article 370 and its reorganization. After 31st October, the Indian Constitution is applicable only in Jammu and Kashmir. Constitution Day is celebrated on 26 November to remind people of the contribution of the constitution-makers.

Chhibber, Additional Secretary, General Administrative Department of Jammu and Kashmir, on the completion of 70 years of adopting the Constitution, the Preamble of the Constitution was read in all government offices, schools at eleven in the morning. After this, everyone also took an oath to perform fundamental duties.

It was implemented on 26 January 1950. Special programs were also organized in schools on this occasion. The school management informed the children about the specialty of this day.
