New Delhi: Recently, the Delhi High Court has reserved the decision on the appeal of the release of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala. The case was heard on Tuesday in the bench of Judge Manmohan and Judge Sangeeta Sehgal. OP Chautala's lawyer Amit Sahni said that the court can pronounce its verdict on any day this week. In fact, former INLD Chief and former CM OP Chautala have petitioned for release in the High Court through his lawyer. In his petition, Chautala has told the court that since his sentence has been completed as per the set criteria, he should be released. Let us tell you that before the Lok Sabha elections, OP Chautala had filed a petition in Delhi Hoi Court to waive his sentence before the time due to his growing age and disability. The court gave orders to the Delhi government to settle the petition, but the matter is still under consideration.

What is the whole matter: It is being said that the then Director of Primary Education Sanjeev Kumar had exposed the JBT teacher recruitment scam. He filed a petition in the High Court and demanded an inquiry. On the court's order, the CBI started a preliminary inquiry in 2003. In the investigation, rigging came out in the appointment process. After this, the CBI registered a case against 62 people in January 2004, including the then Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, his son Ajay Chautala, the then CM's special work officer Vidyadhar, the political advisor to the Chief Minister Sher Singh Badshami. The biggest thing is that a case was also registered against Sanjeev Kumar who exposed the scam. According to the CBI, Sanjeev was also a participant in this scam. He raised his voice against this only when there was a dispute with other people.
