New Delhi: The announcement of the bi-monthly meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will be announced today, February 5. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das will give information about this after giving a press conference at 12 o'clock today. This time most experts believe that there will be no change in the RBI MPC interest rates. RBI will avoid repo rate reduction. Repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends to other banks.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first policy of RBI after presenting the budget for the financial year 2021-22. The six-member MPC meeting began on Wednesday 3 February. The Central Bank has cut the repo rate by 1.15 percent since February last year. There is a record tally in the stock market before the announcement of the decision of the RBI Monetary Policy. In the trading of February 5, both the Sensex and Nifty indices have made a new record. While the Sensex has crossed 51000 for the first time, the Nifty has also crossed the 15000 marks. It is believed that after the budget, the party can continue in the market even with the announcement of RBI. Today the Sensex has set a new record of 51031.

The Monetary Policy Committee of RBI did not make any changes in the key policy rates in the last 3 meetings. Currently, the repo rate is 4 percent, which is 15 years old. At the same time, the reverse repo rate at this time is 3.35 percent. At this rate, banks deposit their deposits with the Reserve Bank. It is being told that this time also RBI will not make any changes in interest rates. At the same time, the policy review will try to keep the monetary stance liberal.
