The second match of the 3-match ODI series between India and the West Indies is being played today i.e. on July 24. The first ODI was won by Team India by three runs. With this, the Indian team would love to win the second game to be played at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain to win the series. However, since 2006, the Indian team has not suffered a single ODI series defeat against the West Indies in international cricket.

Captain Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill's century partnership in the first ODI gave the Indian team a good start. Dhawan was three runs away from completing his century. Shubman Gill played a tremendous knock of 64 runs even before he was run out. Shreyas, who came in to bat at number three, also hinted at returning to form by scoring 54 runs. In the second match, strong performance of these three players will be expected.

Even before the start of the ODI series, Team India suffered a major setback as their best all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja suffered a knee injury. Jadeja will also not be able to play the second ODI due to this. Akshar Patel was given a chance in place of Jadeja, but he failed to make his mark with the ball and that is why the team had to pay a lot. Akshar Patel also had to quit the game due to a hamstring injury during the first match itself, so it is not yet clear whether he will be able to take part in today's match. Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh did not have a chance to make his ODI debut on Friday, but he has a good chance to make his debut today. In the first ODI, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj performed brilliantly.
