American billionaire Todd Bohlly on Saturday took over from Russian businessman Roman Abramovich to Chelsea Football Club for £4.25 billion ($5.24 billion). According to reports, Chelsea said in a notice released on its website that Chelsea Football Club confirms that the conditions have been set for the handover of ownership of the club to the group led by Todd Bohlly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hanszorg Wiss.
The club has said the deal could be completed by the end of May if the British government allows transactions in Abramovich's closed bank account in Britain. Abramovich announced the sale of the club in early March, shortly after which the British government imposed a personal ban on him due to Russia's military campaign in Ukraine.
According to the information received so far, Abramovich bought Chelsea Football Club in 2003, since then Chelsea has won the English Football Championship five times, the English Cup three times, and the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League twice each.
