New Delhi: Krishna Nagar has won the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics today. The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated Krishna Nagar. In fact, Krishna Nagar defeated Hong Kong's Chu Man Kai in a thrilling three-game final of the men's singles SH6 class today, Sunday to give India their second gold medal in the Tokyo Paralympic badminton event. Due to this, Krishna Nagar's family in Jaipur is in a state of shock. Krishna Nagar's father Sunil Nagar says, "He has done what we used to dream of. It's a happy moment for me.''

 

 

On the other hand, PM Modi said, "It is heartening to see our badminton players excelling at the Tokyo Paralympics. Krishna Nagar's spectacular achievement has brought a smile to the faces of every Indian. Congratulations to him for winning the gold medal. Best wishes to him for the future.'' Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also tweeted his congratulations on player Krishna Nagar winning a gold medal in badminton men's singles SH6. He tweeted: "The great good news from Tokyo Paralympics is that para-badminton player Krishna Nagar from Jaipur, Rajasthan has won a gold medal in the men's para-badminton SH6 event! A fantastic achievement for which we are so proud! Congratulations to him for his spectacular success.!!''

 

 

At the same time, Krishna Nagar, a gold medallist at the Tokyo Paralympics himself, said, "I feel great winning a gold medal. I am fortunate to have brought a gold medal for the country. I would like to dedicate my medal to my parents and other family members who supported me to bring me here.''
