Members of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) can easily change their name, date of birth and other details in EPFO records by availing the online facility. This feature is much easier than offline. In the offline system, if a member has to make any changes in his basic information, then he has to go to the office of EPFO. It is quite a long process. Apart from this, with the online facility, this work can be done very easily. After accepting the request from the member, the system will compare the request for change of similar areas from UIDAI. Once successful verification, the request can be transferred for online transmission to the employer's EPFO field office. This can then be rectified after requests received from members and employers of the EPFO's field office.

Know how to change the name, date of birth and other details in EPF account online

1) Members of the Unified Portal login using UAN and password.

2) Click on 'Manage Modify Basic Details' on the home screen. If your Aadhaar is already verified, then you will not be able to make any changes in the details.

3) Fill the correct details given in your Aadhaar, after which the system will verify the details entered with your Aadhaar data.

4) After entering your details, click on 'Update Detail', after which your request will be sent to your employer for further approval.

5) Now your employer will log in to the employer interface of the portal. He can see the request for change submitted by the employees by clicking on 'Change in member detail request'.

6) The employer will now act by giving the appropriate remark.

7) After the request being requested, the employer can view the new status of the request.

8) Dealing Assistant Members can now login by clicking on the details change request and see the online request.

9) After proper verification, the EPFO officer can give his recommendations to the section supervisor.

11) APFC / RPFC can accept or reject the request for a change in the last step.
