1. Pahalgam: Pahalgam, situated at an altitude of 7200 feet, is said to be the most beautiful hill station in Jammu and Kashmir. Pahalgam is one of the best places in North India, where you can enjoy the monsoon.

2. Kausani: Kausani, situated in the Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand, remains a major centre of tourist attraction amid the monsoons. Kausani contributes the most in promoting tourism in Uttarakhand. Kausani people are known as 'Switzerland of India'. The famous temple of Nanda Devi is worth seeing here.

How to reach: Pantnagar, located at 177 km from Kausani, is the nearest airport, while the Kathgodam railway station is the nearest railhead. The distance from where Kausani is 136 km.
3. Karjat: Karjat is known for celebrating weekend holidays. It is located in Maharashtra on the banks of Ulhas River. Travelling to Karajat is like heaven. The valleys of Ulhas river, the waterfall and rafting there give a unique experience to the tourists.
Temperature during monsoon: 20-25 degree centigrade on average.
Major Attractions: Kothaligad, Chanderi Cave, Bhivpuri Waterfall, in addition to which there is much more.
Things to see: Kondana cave, a trip to Bhimashankar on the stairs, shopping for hand made art objects.
How to reach: Karjat is 90 km from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. There is no need to go anywhere else to go by rail because Karjat itself is a railway station.
