India is hosting the third edition of Track Asia Cup 2016. The competition started from 14 September and will continue till 16 September at the Indoor cycling Velodrome at IG sports complex, New Delhi.

Indian cyclist put up a commendable show on the opening day, bagging 6 medals which include three gold, two silver and one bronze.

The medalist were :

GOLD :Deborah Harold - 500 m in 35.964 secs.Deborah Harold and Kezia Vargheese-Team Spirit Event in 35.962 secs. Women's Junior team bagged gold too.

Men's Junior team bagged SILVER beating Khazakistan with a time of 49.299. Another silver was bagged by Alena Reji.

A BRONZE medal was awarded to Rajkumari Devi, due to walkover at the Women's elite persuit 3 kms event.
