Lucknow: Four individuals tragically lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries in a car accident that occurred in the Kanth area of Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday. The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Moradabad, Sandeep Kumar Meena, reported that the incident took place around 2 a.m. when a vehicle traveling from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, collided with an electric pole near Kanth.
According to Meena, the collision resulted in the immediate death of four individuals from the same family, while two others were injured and subsequently admitted to the district hospital. Postmortem examinations are being conducted for the deceased, while the injured are receiving medical treatment.
Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, also a member of the affected family, had fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the loss of control and collision with the electric pole. Currently, the driver is in a state of shock and is undergoing questioning by authorities.
Authorities have initiated further investigations into the incident, and additional details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
