Chennai: In the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, a tragic incident unfolded, claiming the life of a student and leaving two others injured. The event occurred on a Sunday evening, around 8:30 pm, near Mekkamandapam. What transpired was captured by a CCTV camera, providing a stark account of the accident.

The victim, identified as Jijumon, was accompanied by his friend Dhanish as they embarked on a journey to Mulchal. However, their plans took a devastating turn when their bike collided head-on with another bike, helmed by John Jagan. The CCTV footage depicted Jijumon and Dhanish's bike hurtling down the road at considerable speed before the collision ensued. The impact of the crash was profound, propelling all three individuals into the air and causing significant harm.

Swift action from bystanders ensued as they rushed to the scene to render aid. The injured were promptly transported to Thakkalai Government Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, Jijumon succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital. Meanwhile, Dhanish and Jagan are currently undergoing treatment, grappling with the aftermath of the collision.

In response to the incident, authorities from the Thakalai Police station have launched an investigation, registering a case to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
