Gwalior: The house roof collapsed last night in Krishna Nagar in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh. The family, which was sleeping inside, became the victim. The mother and daughter died in the accident, while two people were injured. According to reports, the entire family of truck driver Rakesh Shakya had slept in the front room of the house after eating food at around 11 pm on Wednesday in Krishna Nagar hill of the old cantonment area. Rakesh's wife Usha Shakya (38), daughter Radha (21), younger daughter Riddhima (13), elder son Anand (22), younger son Sachin (18) and maternal uncle Sanjay were present in the house. At about three o'clock, the roof of the room suddenly collapsed. The whole family was buried in the rubble. There was a scream. People in the vicinity were pulled out buried in the debris.
The police immediately reached the spot after the information. They took the injured to the hospital. Usha Shakya, 38, and her 21-year-old daughter Radha have been declared brought dead by doctors. The injured Riddhima and Anand are being treated. It is being said that at the time of the accident, 6 people were sleeping in the same room of the house. The police have taken the bodies under observation and conducted a post-mortem. A lawsuit has also been filed.
The younger son Sachin said that "she was alive when I pulled out Radha". People called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. By the time the ambulance arrived about half an hour late, my sister's breathing had stopped. We couldn't save my mother either. Sachin informed his father Rakesh about the incident.
