Lucknow: In a tragic incident in Ghaziabad, a three-year-old child lost her life at a shopping mall after being struck by a car in the facility's parking lot, as confirmed by the police on Monday. The vehicle involved was reportedly driven by a valet employed at the mall, hailing from Delhi.

The unfortunate incident occurred when Vinod Pandey, accompanied by his wife and daughter Ridhi, visited the mall on Saturday evening. ACP Indirapuram Swatantra Kumar Singh revealed that while they were preparing to return home, a car approaching from the opposite direction collided with the child.

According to the police, the child sustained critical injuries to her mouth and nose in the accident. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where, tragically, she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver responsible for the accident has been identified as Vinit Sethi, residing in Delhi's Ranibagh and employed as a valet parking driver at the mall. Sethi has been taken into custody by the authorities, and the vehicle involved in the incident has been impounded.

Vinod Pandey, the grieving father of the deceased child, accused the driver of failing to provide the vehicle to transport his injured daughter to the hospital, adding to the distress of the tragic situation.

The community mourns the loss of the innocent child, and the authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to ensure justice is served.
