Government asked 'how people are getting mobile recharge done in lockdown'

The country has been declared a lockdown until May 3 due to the coronavirus. This lockdown is causing a lot of trouble to the mobile users who depended on the shops for mobile recharge, although the telecom companies are also telling about the features like missed calls and recharge from the mobile app to provide mobile recharge to their customers. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recently asked telecom companies including telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea how mobile users in the country are doing mobile recharge in case of a lockdown.

Telecom companies have sought time till April 20 to answer this question of TRAI. Telecom companies say it will take some time to gather data on this. The regulator had asked operators to provide data on the mode of recharge during the lockdown in 24 hours.
